Australian Reviews Suzuki Jimny

This review comes from on YouTube. The host shares his opinions about the lightweight off-roader. In terms of looks, there are not many visual differences between the 3-door and 5-door iterations. Looking from the sides, the extended length and wheelbase become apparent. Entering the cabin, you’ll notice that the layout hasn’t changed much. But there are some noticeable upgrades. These include a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (up from 7 inches in the regular model), wireless Apple CarPlay, rear parking sensors, digital radio, cruise control (in the automatic version), and shiny chrome inserts on the grille. The longer wheelbase provides more space for passengers in the second row, and this also means more room in the boot. Additionally, the rear seats can now be adjusted in two steps and split 50:50. All in all, there is a combination of traditional and modern amenities.

Driving Impressions

When the host gets into the driver’s seat, he experiences the SUV on the road. He claims that as long as one drives it calmly, there is enough grunt to tackle any road condition. However, if you thump your foot to demand more power and acceleration, the performance is a bit lackluster. The engine makes a lot of noise when pushed hard. Hence, it is not meant to be driven at high speed. However, when the host takes the SUV off-road, things change dramatically. It is able to climb up steep hills and rough surfaces with authority. The visibility is great. Even the wheel articulation is decent and works perfectly. All the off-roading hardware makes it one of the best vehicles at this price point.
