Tata Nexon iCNG Boot Space

This post comes from indiantorque on Instagram. It captures the visuals of this Nexon. What is the most critical aspect of any CNG car is its boot space. Until now, we have seen that the large CNG cylinder in the trunk of the car compromises its capacity severely. You are barely able to fit in additional luggage. However, the Indian auto giant has come up with a clever packaging technique. They have divided one large cylinder into two smaller units. Moreover, they have positioned it under the boot area where the spare tyre generally is. The spare tyre has now been shifted to under the car like in large SUVs. Hence, a fully useable space is liberated to carry luggage in the boot of the Nexon iCNG.

Author’s Note

The specific performance output of the Nexon with the CNG engine is yet to be revealed, and it is expected to be slightly less than the 1.2-litre unit in the petrol version. Opting for the CNG variant makes practical sense for those seeking reduced running costs. Additionally, residing in a metro city presents no challenges in terms of CNG station availability. The Nexon CNG will contribute to the extensive lineup of CNG cars nationwide, particularly from Tata Motors. With this, the Nexon is among the only vehicles in the country to be offered in petrol, diesel, electric and CNG guises. This enhances its overall appeal.
