Tata Nexon EV Runs Out of Charge, Pushed by Ather 450X

Range anxiety is a fairly common concern of all electric vehicle users. Unfortunately, for some such EV-users, their worst nightmare comes true when the battery pack of the vehicle runs out of juice. The latest such case to come to light involves a Tata Nexon EV. But our point of focus here is how an Ather 450X comes to the rescue of the stranded SUV.

Ather Energy Takes a Jibe at Tata.ev

Soon after the video went viral, Ather Energy showed its playful side by retweeting the video along with a caption that read: “We’ve got your back, Tata.ev.” This friendly encounter between two EVs is a testament to the supportive EV community. Though amusing, we hope the Ather didn’t run out of battery during the helpful tow. Also, while EV range anxiety is a concern, most modern EVs offer sufficient range for city and highway driving. In related news, Ather is expanding to Nepal, making the 450X available in Kathmandu and setting up Ather Grid Fast Chargers across the country in partnership with Vaidya Energy.

Also, the Tata Nexon EV received its mid-cycle facelift this week. The 2023 Nexon EV facelift is available at a starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The updated electric SUV is now on sale in three variants: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. Moreover, buyers can choose from two battery pack options: Mid range and Long range. It’s available in seven color choices: Intensi-teal, Creative Ocean, Pristine White, Fearless Purple, Daytona Grey, Empowered Oxide, and Flame Red. Customers can reserve their new Nexon EV facelift with a booking amount of Rs 21,000.

Tata Nexon EV facelift offers a wide array of features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, voice assistant support (“Hey Tata”) with integration of Siri, Alexa, and Google assistants, compatibility with OTT apps like Disney Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video, paddle shifters, a premium nine-speaker JBL sound system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera, an updated ZConnect app, front parking sensors, height-adjustable co-passenger seat, new telematics, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a blind spot view monitor, and multiple 45W USB Type-C ports, and more.
